Our Logomark

The Carlingford Chiropractic Centre logomark should always be depicted using its official colours, and using a colour combination that ensures optimal contrast. This means that when using one of its dark colours as background, light colours should be used for the logomark — and vice-versa.

Understanding Contrast Ratios

When applying colours to any of our design elements, we want to ensure that there is sufficient contrast for the logomark in our logo to be clearly seen, and for the logotype to be legible. This is specially important if targeting audiences that may have visual difficulties.

The contrast ratio between 2 colours is measured on a scale from 1 (no contrast at all) to 21 (maximum contrast between total white and total black). In order for a large logomark to be clearly recognisable, and large heading text to be legible, there must be a contrast ratio of at least 4.5. For normal body text and smaller logomarks, a contrast ratio of at least 7 is required. If the contrast ratio is below 4.5, it means the element will be practically indistinguishable from its background, and extremely difficult to see.

Our Logotype

The Carlingford Chiropractic Centre logotype was carefully crafted using characters from the Open Sans font family, freely available from the Google Font library at: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Open+Sans.
Same as with our logomark, our logotype must always be displayed in colours that are highly contrasting with their background: if the background uses a dark colour then the logotype should use light colours, and vice-versa.

Our Official Logo

The Carlingford Chiropractic Centre logo should always be displayed in colours that are highly contrasting with its background. This means that if the background uses a light colour, then all elements in the logo should use dark colours, and vice-versa. For maximum impact, make sure that the logomark always uses a different colour from the logotype.
